Aaron Rodgers’ comeback campaign will begin in prime time, as the NY Jets will visit the San Francisco 49ers on September 9th on ESPN’s “MNF,” it was announced today.
This marks the 2nd consecutive campaign that Aaron and New York will play a prime-time match in Week 1. His debut last September 11th turned into a campaign-altering disaster for New York, as the 4-time MVP tore his left Achilles on the 4th snap and missed the remainder of the campaign.

It’s an interesting QB matchup as Rodgers squares off vs. Brock Purdy, the 2022 Mr. Irrelevant who has turned into 1 of the National Football League’s biggest success stories. San Francisco is coming off a devastating loss in Super Bowl LVIII, a 25-22 OT defeat against the Chiefs.
The 49ers inked DE Leonard Floyd in the offseason. It was Leonard, competing for the Bills, who sacked Aaron on the play that ended his season last year.
