Casper Ruud demolished Alexander Zverev in straight sets 6-3, 6-4, 6-0 on Friday night and booked a place in the French Open final, where he will meet Novak Djokovic.
Ruud was pretty much flawless throughout the game and established his dominance early on. The Norwegian was much more composed, synchronized and lethal, while Zverev looked a shadow of himself.
The last set, won by the 24-year-old 6-0, just underlined the level of dominance he had established. His opponent looked all beaten up and was pretty much waiting for the game to end.

With his success Ruud secures a place in the final for the second time in succession at the French Open. He will certainly look to make up for his routine loss against Rafael Nadal last time around.
However, this year’s challenge will be equally difficult as Djokovic aims to lift a record-breaking 23rd Grand Slam title.
