Juan Soto is enjoying his time with the Yankees, marveling at the reach and intensity of the supporters and being part of a loaded team right in front of Aaron Judge.
Soto must decide sooner than later on whether to re-up, with his 1st time as a free agent in a few months. But chances are that Juan will not make it to the open market. He shared today that he is ready to start deal talks during the campaign if New York wants to approach his agent about a long-term deal.
The MLB franchise from the Big Apple chief Hal Steinbrenner thinks about such a tactic for the 3-time All-Star and 4-time Silver Slugger, who is still 25 years old.
“We will do our best for Soto to play for the Yankees for the rest of his career in the MLB. I don’t think that anyone doubts our intentions,” the Yankees owner shared in an interview today.
“My door is always open. If they wanna call Scott and start talking about it, it’s up to them.”
