Liverpool thought they had taken the lead against Spurs, but a controversial decision resulted in his effort being denied for an offside – something, which was clearly not the case as shown by the footage.
Later it was revealed that decision stems from a miscommunication between the on-field and video referees.
Darren England was the man appointed for the video assistant duties with Dan Cook as his assistant and they have both been dismissed.
“Darren England and Dan Cook have been replaced for the Nottingham Forest v Brentford and Fulham v Chelsea matches.” a statement from PGMOL said.
“Craig Pawson will now assume England’s duties as 4th official at City Ground while Eddie Smart will take over from Cook as assistant ref at Craven Cottage.”
