The match started evenly, but Zverev got a break in the third game. Both players continued to exchange games until the seventh game, in which Zverev managed to achieve a second break and afterwards closed the first set in 6:2.
In the fourth game of the second set, Dimitrov squandered two break points, but Zverev didn’t do the same in his turn, except that he saved the break and managed to win a game on Dimitrov’s serve. The convincing German closed the second game at 6:2 again and won the match.
