The multi-team investors have been in talks with Everton owner Farhad Moshiri since the report that New York group MSP Sports Capital had pulled out of the deal to buy the Premier League side.
Group 777 already owns numerous football teams; the most famous are Sevilla, Hertha Berlin, and Standard Liege, but the Belgium fans are not happy with the ownership and criticized them at their last match.
The move by the Miami-based company would be a full takeover once all the England league requirements are met, which could take a few months.
A few months ago, Moshiri told Everton’s supporters the team was “not for sale,” However, the British-Iranian businessman has changed his position and is willing to leave the team he owns since 2016.
