The Rossoneri beat their city rival for the second time this season and clinch eight Italian Super Cup

AC Milan staged a sensational second-half comeback to defeat Inter 3-2 and claim the Supercoppa Italiana in Saudi Arabia, denying their rivals a fourth consecutive title in a dramatic finale.

Inter seemed poised for victory after Lautaro Martinez opened the scoring just before halftime with a clinical finish, capitalizing on a defensive lapse by Milan. Shortly after the break, Mehdi Taremi doubled the lead, expertly controlling Stefan de Vrij’s long ball and curling his shot past goalkeeper Mike Maignan. At 2-0, Inter appeared firmly in control.

However, Milan refused to back down. Theo Hernandez reignited their hopes in the 66th minute with a perfectly executed free-kick that curled past Yann Sommer. The Rossoneri’s equalizer came in the 79th minute when Christian Pulisic received a precise cut-back from Hernandez, calmly controlling the ball before firing a low shot into the far corner to make it 2-2.

As the match approached extra time, Milan delivered a decisive blow in stoppage time. Pulisic, pivotal throughout, threaded a brilliant through ball to Rafael Leão, who squared it across the box for Tammy Abraham to tap in the winner. Abraham’s late goal sparked wild celebrations among Milan players and fans.
