The big man from Canada dominated in the regular season and was chosen as The Associated Press men’s college basketball player of the year. However, from 58 judges, only 1 didn’t vote for the Canadian as he voted for Trayce Jackson-Davis from Indiana.

“The season ended in disappointment, which sucks, but it’s always nice to win individual accolades,” Edey said. “It validates your work a little bit.
