The Miami Dolphins are trading for Chicago Bears WR Chase Claypool, the organizations shared today.
Miami and Chicago will also exchange 2025 draft selections in the trade, which is pending a medical test, with the Dolphins giving the Bears a 6th-round selection in exchange for a 7th-rounder.

The #Bears are trading WR Chase Claypool to the #Dolphins, sources tell me and @TomPelissero. This ends a prolonged drama and gives Claypool a fresh start. They have tried to trade him since last week after he was a healthy scratch. Now, everyone moves on. pic.twitter.com/RKJHrllA1T

The exchange comes after the wide receiver was a healthy scratch for the 2nd time in 5 days, not being on the field in the Bears’ 40-20 victory against the Washington Commanders yesterday. Bears chiefs had told Chase at the beginning of the week that he would be inactive vs. the Commanders and insisted that he remain away from the franchise while the team prepared for the clash on Thursday.
A week ago, Claypool shared that he is not happy with how the coaches in Chicago are using him in the team’s offense, and immediately, the wide receiver was made inactive after being told by the franchise not to appear in the Chicago’s Week 4 match vs. the Denver Broncos.
