Luka Doncic showcased his exceptional skills with 40 points, 11 rebounds, and 10 assists in just three periods, leading the Dallas Mavericks to a commanding 147-97 victory over the Utah Jazz.
This marked a significant milestone for Doncic as he secured the first half-triple-double of his career. With this remarkable feat, he notched his 60th career triple-double, surpassing Larry Bird and claiming sole possession of the ninth spot on the all-time career list.
Doncic’s impressive shooting included 14 of 25 from the floor and 6 of 12 on 3-pointers, all achieved in 32 minutes of play, slightly above his per-game average. The game not only became the Mavericks’ highest-scoring outing of the season but also came within two points of their highest-scoring game ever in regulation.
Conversely, the loss marked a challenging night for the Utah Jazz, matching the franchise’s second-worst defeat, surpassed only by a 56-point loss to Milwaukee (158-102) in March 1979.
