The Nerazzurri's incredible Champions League fairy tale continues

Inter have sealed a Champions League final spot after narrow 1-0 victory over fierce rivals AC Milan (3-0 on aggregate) on Tuesday night.

Late strike from Lautaro Martinez in the 74th minute put the tie beyond Milan and ensured Filippo Inzaghi’s men a place in the history books after defining first leg 2-0 win.

Despite the odds being against them, Milan will have plenty to rue after wasting a handful of good chances in the first half. Most notably Brahim Diaz and Rafael Leao shots, which turned out to be insufficient.

Inter started the second half much stronger, not allowing their rivals much play on the break, as they settled with more possession.

Eventually Martinez’ goal sealed Milan’s fate, ending their dream of reaching a final for the first time since 2007.

The jubilant home crowd will have plenty to celebrate as their team reaches the Champions League final for the first time since that memorable 2010 year, when they clinched the Treble.

However, a tough opposition awaits there as both semi-finalist from the other match (Real Madrid and Manchester City) will be firm favorites for lifting the big trophy. Inter will no doubt face a monumental task if they want to grab the title for the 4th time in their history.
