Moments before he and HIS TEAMMATES boarded a plane headed to Minnesota, where temperatures will hit the teens today, for tomorrow’s match vs. the Vikings, the running back inked a 2-year extension that will keep him in part of the organization through the 2026 campaign, the franchise revealed.
James, whose base salary was $4.235 million in the current campaign, was set to be a free agent after this campaign. His $9.5 average annual salary will make him the 7th-highest paid RB.
Already at 705 rushing yards, James, who turns 30 in May, is on pace for his 2nd-consecutive 1,000-yard campaign – which also happens to be the only 2 of his 8 years as part of the NFL.
Conner recorded 4 hundred-yard matches in the current campaign and has 5 rushing TDs.
