Lauri Markkanen led the Utah Jazz with 21 points, guiding them to a 123-108 triumph over the Milwaukee Bucks on Sunday night.
Collin Sexton contributed 19 points, assisting the Jazz in breaking a three-game losing streak. John Collins recorded a double-double with 15 points and 10 rebounds, while Keyonte George also posted a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
The Jazz dominated the Bucks in the fourth quarter, outscoring them 40-13. Defensively, Utah capitalized on seven turnovers in the final 1½ quarters, accumulating 15 points. Additionally, they limited the Bucks to only four baskets in the last 12 minutes.
Giannis Antetokounmpo led the Bucks with an impressive stat line of 33 points, 13 assists, and seven rebounds. Bobby Portis contributed 27 points, while Malik Beasley added 16. Damian Lillard chipped in with 12 points, six assists, and a season-high two blocks, as Milwaukee played without starters Brook Lopez and Khris Middleton.
Although the Bucks capitalized on 16 turnovers by the Jazz, they did not surrender a point off a turnover until late in the third quarter. Utah, after trailing by 19 points, mounted a comeback in the fourth quarter. A pivotal 19-3 run, initiated by consecutive 3-pointers from Kelly Olynyk and Markkanen, propelled the Jazz to a 104-102 lead with 6:26 remaining. Markkanen sealed the rally with another go-ahead 3-pointer.
While Milwaukee briefly reclaimed a one-point lead with an Antetokounmpo layup, the Jazz surged ahead decisively. Scoring on six consecutive possessions, capped by baskets from George, Utah extended their lead to 123-108 with less than a minute left, securing the victory.
