Juventus are set to terminate Paul Pogba’s contract if the Frenchman is found guilty of positive doping test, reports say.
The 30-year-old received a provisional suspension after testing positive for testosterone and could receive up to 4-year ban after further investigations.
The positive test is reported to have come after a game against Udinese on August 20.
Pogba has the right to inquire for a B sample and should it come out the same, then the Frenchman could receive from 2 to 4 year ban.
The maximum penalty will be received if it is proven the player had taken the drugs deliberately.
As a consequence the Old Lady will have no second thoughts, but to tear up the 30-year-old contracts, which expires in 2026.
Pogba’s agent came to his defense in a written statement, which read:
“We are waiting for the counter analysis and until then we can’t say anything.”
“The certain thing is that Paul Pogba never wanted to break the rules.”
