The MLS said that they would investigate the claim of Jeremy Ebobisse, who stated that a New York Red Bulls unnamed player made a racist remark.
It is said to happen in the 2nd half of his team San Jose Earthquakes game against the NY Red Bulls, and the striker almost left the pitch.
Jeremy declined to name the opposition player that used a racist slur, but it is reported to happen in the 54th minute in the second half.
Ebobisse also added that the Red Bulls player told him that the comment was not against anyone in particular, and that’s why his teammates finished the game that ended without a winner – 1:1.
“What is important for me to share is that I know what I heard and why I felt, after a lengthy conversation, we should continue with the game because the player who said the word claimed it was not aimed at any of us,” Ebobisse said.
