Kyrie Irving came back after missing five games, but he finished with just 11 points

Jamal Murray scored a season-high 45 points, including an electrifying 32-point first half, to propel the Denver Nuggets to a commanding 118-99 victory over the Dallas Mavericks on Tuesday night.

Murray, shooting 18-for-26 from the field and 5-for-9 from beyond the arc, was astonishing on the filed while adding six assists and two steals.

His 32 points in the first half marked the third-highest first-half total in the NBA this season. Murray exited the game with under four minutes left, just five points shy of his career-high 50-point performance from 2021.

Michael Porter Jr. contributed 13 points, and Nikola Jokic added a double-double with 10 points and 14 rebounds, anchoring Denver’s dominance.

The Mavericks welcomed Kyrie Irving back after a five-game absence due to a lumbar back sprain, but he struggled offensively, finishing with 11 points on 4-for-18 shooting. Daniel Gafford and Naji Marshall chipped in 13 and 11 points, respectively, for Dallas.

Murray’s explosive scoring set the tone for Denver, who secured another impressive win while continuing to assert their dominance in the Western Conference.
