A few days ago, it was reported that the Sens wanted to ink Tarasenko once the organization trades Alex DeBrincat. Alex left on Sunday as he joined Detroit Red Wings in a trade for Dominik Kubalik, prospect Donovan Sebrango, and a conditional 1st-round pick and 4th pick in the next season.
With Alex DeBrincat no longer in the team, the Sens have over 5 million dollars in cap space.
