Mike Vrabel has returned to the NE Patriots after agreeing today on a multiyear deal to become their new manager.
Mike competed as LB for the franchise from 2001 to 2008 and was an integral member of Super Bowl-winning teams. Vrabel worked as Tennessee Titans head coach from 2018-23, having a 54-45 regular-campaign stats and 2-3 mark in the postseason, which featured a trip to the AFC Championship Game 6 years ago.
Mike, the Associated Press NFL Coach of the Year 3 years ago, replaces Jerod Mayo, who was dismissed earlier this month after finishing 4-13 in his 1 campaign as New England boss.

The organization also interviewed Detroit Lions OC Ben Johnson, ex-Bucs OC Byron Leftwich, and ex-Texans OC Pep Hamilton for the head coaching position.
Mike is known most as a Patriot during his playing career, which also featured time with the Steelers and Chiefs. He spent 3 campaigns at Ohio State, then 4 with the Houston Texans, before the 6-season period as Tennessee boss that finished when he was dismissed after straight losing campaigns. Last year, Vrabel was a coaching and personnel consultant for the Browns.
