Free agent QB Jameis Winston revealed that he has agreed to join the NY Giants.
The contract is for 2 years and 8 million dollars. The inking comes after weeks of the franchise from the Big Apple trying to lure Aaron Rodgers and missing out on Matthew Stafford, who remained with the Rams on a new deal. Aaron visited with the Pittsburgh Steelers hours before the Giants announced the deal with Jameis.
It became clear that Rodgers inking with the Giants would be very hard in the past few days and the organization decided to trust Winston who can be a QB1 and help the roster with his experience.

Jameis and Tommy DeVito are the only 2 QBs currently on New York’s roster.
Winston visited the Giants a few days ago as the new New York quarterback started the 2024 campaign as a reserve to Deshaun Watson but took over as the Cleveland Browns’ starter after Deshaun’s campaign-ending right Achilles tendon tear in Week 7.
Winston was benched by the Browns in Week 16 after throwing 8 picks within 3 matches.
