It looked like Real Madrid have given up on signing Kylian Mbappe this summer, but the whole football world may be in for a surprise.
“Los Blancos” will make an attempt to buy the striker at the very end of the transfer window, reported the German “Sport Bild” and the media revealed that the Spanish side plans to start their final summer offensive for the French international on August 29 or 30, with the transfer window closing on September 1st.
Mbappe’s contract with the French champions runs until the summer of 2024, with an option for a one-year extension, but the striker said a few months ago that he would not activate it, thus causing tension around him.
As for Real Madrid, the offer for Mbappe will be around 120 million euros, far away from the 180-200 million demanded by PSG.
