Bukayo Saka shared the Gunners “smelled blood and went for the kill” in their phenomenal 6-0 triumph vs. West Ham at London Stadium today.
Arteta’s side moved back within 2 points of leaders Liverpool as Arsenal had 4 goals lead after the 1st half against the Hammers.
Many supporters of the home side left even before the 1st half finished. After that, Saka netted again in the 63rd minute before Declan Rice’s phenomenal shot made it 6-0.
“We were 4-0 up after the 1st 45 minutes, and we could have netted many more, including myself,” Bukayo shared with the media after the victory.
“I believe we smelled blood today and went for the kill. Our team did well to score more, and that made us happy.”
Mikel Arteta told the media about Saka’s comments, saying that he smelled a group of people who wanted to improve.
“It says a lot about how well the boys played today” 💪
