Sheffield United is very close to dismissing boss Paul Heckingbottom after their 5-0 loss vs. Burnley the past weekend.
After the defeat, the Blades dropped below Burnley and Everton to the bottom position in the EPL, having triumphed only 1 time in 14 games. Sheffield United conceded the most goals in the league (39) and netted the fewest (11) since the start of the campaign in August.

The Premier League side is expected to make the firing official in the coming hours. That would be the 1st dismissal in the EPL since the start of the campaign as that would come in December, in contrast to the past campaign as Bournemouth fired Scott Parker in August 2022 after only 4 matches. Paul became the Blades manager in November 2021, inking a 4-and-half season contract.
