Wyatt Johnston scored twice, while Tyler Seguin, Joe Pavelski and Roope Hintz each scored another one. Goaltender Scott Wedgewood made 16 saves.
Robert Thomas had a goal and an assist for St. Louis. Jakub Vrana also scored, while goaltender Joel Hofer made 32 saves.
This was Stars last away game for the season as they clinched their 25th road victory, a tied franchise record from the 2005-06 season. They moved ahead of Colorado Avalanche atop of the Central Division with 105 points, but the Avalanche still have a chance to return at the top as they have two games left to play as opposed to Dallas’ one.
“An important win,” Stars coach Pete DeBoer said.
“We want to keep the pressure on Colorado and keep our hopes alive to win the division. And, you know, that was the goal coming onto the road trip to make sure we took care of our business and win two games and we did that.”
