Man United eliminated Coventry after a shootout despite having a 3-goal lead in the 2nd half.
The Dutch manager shared with the media that he can’t understand the negative reaction after his team’s victory.
“No, absolutely not,” the Man United boss revealed at a news conference when asked whether he could understand the criticism that he and his team faced after the FA Cup ½ final.
“One reporter asked me: ‘Is it embarrassing?’ No, the reaction from the media was embarrassing.
“Elite football is about results. We eliminated our opponent and will play for the trophy, and we deserved it, not only in this match but also in the other matches. We didn’t perform at our best level for 20 minutes, we were also unlucky during that time. But in the end, we had luck and accomplished something great – 2 consecutive FA Cup finals.”
