Ex-Toronto Raptors player Gary Trent Jr. has agreed on a 1-year contract with the Milwaukee Bucks.
Gary will reunite with ex-Blazers teammate Damian Lillard.
Bringing back the guard was not a priority for Toronto, but there was a chance that to happen before the draft, but the money and the timeline made the Raptors to let him leave.
The guard (25) averaged almost 14 points, 3 boards, and 2 assists in 71 matches with Toronto in the past campaign. Gary’s points-per-match average was his lowest since his 2nd year in the NBA when he averaged almost 9 points with Portland. However, he notched almost 40% of his 3-point attempts, his highest as a Toronto player.
Trent Jr. is 1 of 4 basketballers to record at least 500 three-pointers and 300 steals over the last 3 campaigns, joining Anthony Edwards, Tyrese Haliburton, and fellow ex-teammate Fred VanVleet.
Gary is coming off a 3-year, 51 million dollar deal he inked with Toronto in 2021 that saw him make almost 19 million dollars in the past campaign.
