A dramatic contest was decided right at the dead

Arsenal emerged victorious in their clash against Manchester United in a dramatic fashion 3-1 with two late, stoppage time goals at the Emirates.

It was United, who struck first with Marcus Rashford collecting a brilliant ball from Christian Eriksen and slotting it home for 1-0 lead in the 27th minutes.

It took Arsenal only a minute to respond after captain Martin Odegaard was given way too much space and a staggering finish drew the game level.

In the second half the home team saw a penalty overturn by VAR over initial foul on Kai Havertz.

Late on it looked like the Red Devils had sealed the 3 points with Alejandro Garnacho’s strike, only for VAR to intervene again and cut celebrations short.

A chaotic finale saw the Gunners emerge ahead through new signing Declan Rice. Gabriel Jesus followed it up to wrap up the final scoreline and send the stadium into ecstasy.
