The Red Devils head coach, Ruben Amorim, claimed it was his choice to take the “risk” of not inking more footballers during the winter transfer window.
Man United completed 2 transfers during the January transfer window, with left-back Patrick Dorgu (20) joining from the Serie A team Lecce and centre-back Ayden Heaven (18) signing from the EPL rivals Arsenal.

Despite that, Marcus Rashford and Antony left the team on loans as the academy player of the team joined Aston Villa, while the Brazilian signed with Betis in LaLiga. Everyone expected that at least 1 forward would be inked, with the 2 leaving Old Trafford during the winter.
“Our team is taking a risk, but we want a different thing in the club, different profiles. I decided that’s the best way for us at the moment,” shared Manchester United manager.
“In the next transfer window, we will try to bring new players, but we must be very cautious with transfers because of the mistakes that the team made in the past 10 years.”
The Red Devils host Leicester in the 4th round of the FA Cup on Friday as the new signings could make their debut.
