Today’s clash from the German championship between Bayern Munich and Union Berlin has been postponed due to heavy snowfall in Bavaria; the home side confirmed the news.

“We very much regret that our only option is to postpone the clash, but the safety of our supporters and Union Berlin fans is the most important thing at this moment,” CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen announced.
Munich airport postponed numerous flights, as trains in and out of Bavaria faced the same fate as the snow made it impossible to offer safe conditions in this weather.
Several roads around Bayern’s venue were closed, Dreesen admitted, adding, “We will share the new date as soon as possible with all football fans.”
Both sides will play again after exactly 7 days, as Bayern will travel to Frankfurt to face Eintracht, while Union will welcome Monchengladbach.
