The Red Devils won its 1st match at the tournament.

Belgium won against Romania 2-0 in Cologne and all the teams in Group E are with the same number of points – 3.

The match began in the best way possible for the Red Devils as Youri Tielemans scored after only 120 seconds after an assist from Romelu Lukaku.

Lukaku himself doubled its team lead in the 64th minute, but his goal was disallowed for an offside, as that was his 3rd disallowed goal since the beginning of the Euro 2024. Minutes later, Romania received a golden chance to tie the result, but Dennis Man missed alone against the goalkeeper as he hit Koen Casteels with the ball.

Kevin De Bruyne netted in the 80th minute as the Belgium captain secured the 3 points as he received the assist from his goalkeeper and after that triumph all of the teams in the group have chances as they have the same number of points.
