Jayson Tatum led the way for Boston Celtics in 124 - 109 win vs Hornets

Anthony Edwards delivered a stellar performance with 29 points, shooting 7-for-14 from beyond the arc, as the Minnesota Timberwolves narrowly defeated the Denver Nuggets 119-116 in a close Friday night game in Minneapolis. Edwards’ sharp shooting, combined with 23 points, seven assists, and six rebounds from Julius Randle, powered Minnesota to their third win in the past four games. Rudy Gobert contributed significantly with 17 points and 14 rebounds, helping to anchor Minnesota’s defense.

For Denver, Aaron Gordon led with a game-high 31 points and 11 rebounds. Nikola Jokic came close to a triple-double, recording 26 points, 13 assists, and nine rebounds, while Michael Porter Jr. matched him with 26 points. Unfortunately, Denver had to finish the game without Jamal Murray, who left in the third quarter after a collision with Randle. Murray, who had six points, three assists, and two rebounds over 22 minutes, was later placed in concussion protocol. The loss halted Denver’s two-game winning streak.

In Charlotte, Jayson Tatum led the Boston Celtics to 124-109 victory over Hornets with 32 points and 11 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown added 25 points. Derrick White also contributed 17 points as Boston bounced back from their only loss of the season, an overtime defeat to Indiana on Wednesday.

For the Hornets, LaMelo Ball shined with 31 points and four assists, and Tre Mann added 23 points. The matchup was notable for Charlotte’s first-year head coach Charles Lee, who faced Boston after having served as an assistant coach for the team that he helped lead to an NBA title last season.
