"The mistake is serious and he must overcome it", former Man United defender said
Former Manchester United player Rio Ferdinand has criticized goalkeeper Andre Onana for his mistake in Bayern Munich’s first goal in the first Champions League match on Wednesday.
The keeper, who was brought in this summer for more than 50 million euros, did not adequately intervene when Leroy Sane struck in the 28th minute.
“Onana is confident with his feet, but a goalkeeper is paid to make saves. For him, this situation was a piece of cake. The mistake is serious and he must overcome it”, Ferdinand said in front of TNT Sports.
In the end, United lost 3-4, and after the match, the Cameroonian immediately apologized for his unconvincing intervention.
