The point guard picked up the injury during Game 4
The Miami Heat have announced that they will be without their point guard Gabe Vincent in Game 5 of the Eastern Conference finals due to sprained ankle.
Vincent picked up the injury late in Game 4, when he landed awkwardly after trying to save a loose ball near Miami’s bench.
He did continue the game after brief medical inspection, but the long-term effects of the landing seem to have cause a sprained ankle, which will rule him out for the next match on Thursday.
It will mean Kyle Lowry is likely to start as he was regularly coming off the bench in Vincent’s place.
Vincent has averaged 13.1 points in the playoffs, which puts him in third place in the Miami team behind only Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo.
