Getafe will earn 20% of the price if Mason Greenwood is sold to another club, reports say.
The reason for that is a clause in his loan contract that guarantees a 1/5 of the total sum going to the club.
🚨 If Manchester United sell Mason Greenwood to a club other than Getafe, the Spanish side will earn 20% of the transfer fee.
If he is sold to Getafe, they will only have to pay 80% of any agreed fee.

Greenwood made his loan switch to the Spanish club in September after being exiled at Manchester United. Since then the 22-year-old has impressed bagging 4 goals and 3 assists in 13 appearances.
Based on that Getafe are willing to make the deal permanent as there seems to be no future for Greenwood at United. If that were to happen the La Liga club will be made to pay only 80% of the total price, due to a clause in the youngster’s contract.
Greenwood contract with the Red Devils expires in 2025 and his extension will be a hot topic in the upcoming months.
