Manchester City have revealed that Pep Guardiola will leave the side after this weekend’s final game of the campaign.
The legendary head coach led the Sky Blues to 17 major trophies, including 6 EPL titles and a UCL triumph in his 10 years in charge.
Guardiola’s last clash will be vs. Aston Villa at Etihad Stadium.
In honor of Pep’s legacy in charge of the Sky Blues, the club’s Guardiola will be fully open for a 1st time for his last match as the manager of Manchester City.
The directors of Man City were preparing for the Spaniard’s departure a season before the end of his deal.
“Don’t ask me why I’m leaving this club,” shared Pep. “There is no reason, but I just feel that now it’s the right time to do so.”
“Nothing in this life is eternal; if it were, I would have continued as Man City boss. Eternal will be the memories and the love I have for the Sky Blues, his city, and the fans.”
Ex-Chelsea head coach Enzo Maresca, who worked under Pep at the Sky Blues, is the favorite to replace him.
