Erling Haaland becomes only the 16th player in history to receive a perfect 10/10 rating by the French magazine L’Equipe, known for his brutal slamming of underperforming players.
Haaland is also the only player in history to reach this feat twice in one season, after the French magazine gave him 10/10 for his three-goal display in a 6-3 win over rivals Manchester United back in October.
Haaland joins an elite set of players such as Lionel Messi, Robert Lewandowski and Neymar, all having received a 10/10 in their career. Out of those players only Messi has managed to get this rating twice in his career.
In that regard Haaland is leagues above the rest, as he was able to achieve this feat in a single season, something unimaginable up until now.
The magazine described Haaland as E.T, and pictured him on the front page with his finger pointing up and light coming of it, much like Steven Spielberg’s charachter.
