LeBron James, who played a crucial role in helping the United States secure the gold medal against France in the men’s basketball final at the Paris Olympics, has indicated that he does not foresee himself participating in the next Summer Olympics in Los Angeles in 2028.

At 39 years old, James acknowledged that while he hadn’t initially expected to compete in Paris, he is certain that four years from now, he won’t be taking the court at the Olympics. “No, I can’t see myself playing in L.A., but I also didn’t see myself playing in Paris. Four years from now, no, I can’t see myself (playing at the Olympics)”, he said.
Despite being a key player for the U.S. team, contributing 14 points, six rebounds, 10 assists, and two steals in the gold medal game, James seems to be signaling the end of his Olympic career. This victory marks James’ third Olympic gold medal after Beijing and London.
