Inter Miami opened the MLS Cup Playoffs with a strong 2–1 win over Atlanta United at Chase Stadium, thanks to goals from Luis Suárez and Jordi Alba. Suárez got Miami off to a blazing start, scoring in the second minute after Diego Gómez pressed high to win the ball and set up the Uruguayan forward, who slotted it past Brad Guzan for his first playoff goal.

Atlanta leveled the match just before halftime, with Saba Lobjanidze capitalizing on a brilliant through ball from Pedro Amador to make it 1–1. However, Miami reclaimed the lead in the second half when Lionel Messi found Jordi Alba in space at the edge of the box. Alba unleashed a powerful left-footed strike, leaving Guzan with no chance.
Despite Atlanta’s efforts to equalize in the closing moments, Miami held on for the win. With one more victory needed to clinch the series, Miami heads to Mercedes-Benz Stadium on November 2, aiming to advance further in the playoffs.
