Liverpool defeat Tottenham with 3 goals at halftime and late drama

The Reds scored 3 goals in the first 15 minutes of the clash but the winning goal came in the extra time.

Liverpool beat Tottenham 4-3 at Anfield and refuses to give up in the battle for the top 4.

Curtis Jones scored after only 3 minutes after Trent Alexander-Arnold gave another assist in his new role in the midfield of the club. Then, only two minutes later, Luis Diaz made it 2-0 after Cody Gakpo’s pass.

However, the drama was even more because Diogo Jota, one minute later, scored the 4th and winning goal for the Reds after a brutal mistake from Lucas Moura, who gave him the ball near the box.

Klopp’s team is in 5th place with 56 points after 33 matches – 7 points behind Manchester United and 9 points behind Newcastle. The Reds won their 3rd straight match in Premier League.

Tottenham is in 6th place with 54 points after 34 games and won only 1 of their last 7 matches.

The Reds will face Fulham next at Anfield, while Spurs will host Crystal Palace in a London derby.
