Liverpool trashes Toulouse 5-1 at Anfield

The Reds are five points clear from their main rivals in the group

Liverpool got their biggest win in Europa League this season, trashing Toulouse 5-1 at Anfield.

The Red took the lead in the 9th minute when Diogo Jota received the ball, put it down with his chest and went on an individual raid. He managed to get away from two players, then entered the penalty area and finished his amazing run.

Just two minutes later, Toulouse equalized after a collective defensive error from the home side. The young Luke Chambers let Dalinga go past him and left one on one with Kelleher, he kept his cool and sent the ball under the keeper’s jumo for 1-1.

Liverpool took the lead again when Alexander-Arnold sent a good cross to Endo in the 31st minute. He jumped perfectly for the ball and headed it into the Toulouse net.


In the 34th minute, there was a mix-up in the visitors’ penalty area after a deflection, the ball reached Darwin Nunez, who was free and sent it into the near corner with a strong shot.

In the 65th minute, Darwin Nunez slipped past a defender and the Toulouse keeper in prefect fashion and  was left with an empty net but failed to score after targeting the side post. Then the ball fell to Ryan Gravenberch, who still sent it into the net for 4:1.

In stoppage time, Salah received a pass in the box, played coolly and feinted a defender before shooting. The ball hit the crossbar and into the Toulouse goal for the final 5-1.
