Manchester United are very close to sending an official offer for Fiorentina player Sofyan Amrabat but only if they receive money after selling players that are not in the head coach’s plans for the upcoming season.
The team from Old Trafford spent almost 130 million dollars to buy Mason Mount and André Onana already in this transfer window, and the boss, Erik ten Hag, is told that the club has enough funds to ink a striker as the favorite at this time is Atalanta’s Rasmus Höjlund before the end of the summer transfer window.
There is still a very high possibility that Man. United will also sign a central midfielder as a 4th new addition in the current transfer window, as Amrabat is the ten Hag choice.
But to do that, the Red Devils must sell some of the players not wanted by the head coach, as at the top of that list is the former captain Harry Maguire.
Official: Man Utd confirm that Kobbie Mainoo suffered an ‘ankle injury’ and he’s expected ‘to be ruled out for the first part of the 2023/24 season’. ⚠️
…in any case, Man United will push to sign a new midfielder in the next weeks. Sofyan Amrabat remains high on the list. pic.twitter.com/0KEG2ykApZ
