Manchester United are preparing a £45m bid Everton’s goalkeeper Jordan Pickford, reports say.
The reason behind this potential move is the uncertainty around current No.1 goalkeeper David De Gea, who is yet to sign a new contract.
Should he fail to do so, the Red Devils will turn their attention to Pickford, who is their top candidate for replacement, according to The Mirror.
The club is still negotiating with De Gea as their will try to lower his wages from £375,000-a-week to £200,000-a-week.
Despite Pickford signing a new contract with the Toffees, United are still keen on doing their best in order to lure him to Old Trafford.
If Everton are given a significant offer in transfer fee, they might be forced to accept it due to the financial struggles they find themselves in.
