Manchester City continue their title chase with Tottenham and Arsenal after beating Bournemouth 6-1 at Etihad, not surprising anyone with yet another flawless display.
The big news of the night is not the six goals, though, but the injury of City’s star man Erling Haaland. The Norwegian left the game at half-time as he picked up an injury right before the break and went into the tunnel limping.
It is yet to be seen how long he will be out of action, but it is safe to say that he will most definitely miss the Champions League game versus Young Boys on Tuesday. For the victory at Etihad, Doku was the key man as he opened the scoring and then added two assists to Bernardo Silva and Akanji.
🥶 It’s Jérémy Doku day for Man City…

A little over an hour of play Doku passed to Foden as well and made a hattrick of assist. Sinisterra pulled one goal back for the visitors before Bernardo Silva and Ake’s goals that made it 6-1 for the evening. With their three points City are now first with 27 – one ahead of Tottenham and three more than Arsenal, but both North London teams have a game in hand.
