Khris Middleton will skip Milwaukee Bucks’ Sunday clash against the Atlanta Hawks as he is still recovering from heavy knee injury.
The 32-year-old sustained the injury during postseason and the Bucks wouldn’t want to risk his fitness.
Middleton did feature in Milwaukee tight 118-117 victory against 76ers (he played 16 minutes), but still head-coach Adrian Griffin said the team opted to rest them for their first back-to-back nights of the season.
“This is just being smart and ramping him up gradually,” Griffin said. “He participated in practice today and looked really good.”
The 32-year-old is no stranger to injuries as he featured in only 33 games last season, missing the first 20 with wrist injury and then another 18 due to sore right knee.
