The Croatian midfielder had all but confirmed that he would be playing for Real Madrid in the upcoming season during the team’s UCL winning parade.
“Thank you for your support during the whole campaign. See you next season!” Modric shared at the beginning of the past month.
Luka (38) has triumphed with 6 UCLs and 4 La Liga trophies with the Madrid giants – with a joint-record total of 26 trophies at the team – in a 12-year period since his transfer from Spurs.
Luka triumphed with the Ballon d’Or after leading Croatia to the 2018 World Cup final.
In the past campaign, Modric started 18 league matches and played in another 14 from the bench.
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti shared several days ago that he never had a problem with Luka and he would be happy to continue to work with him.
