Los Blancos attacker Vinicius Junior has declared himself fit ahead of the league’s return from the winter pause, as he has healed from a thigh muscle problem he sustained in November.
The Brazil international tore his left thigh while being with his national team in the World Cup qualifier vs. Colombia, as he was sidelined for his club’s last 7 matches of the year in all tournaments.
He hasn’t played for Los Blancos since scoring 2 goals in a 5-1 victory against Valencia on November 11th and was expected not to be ready to return to the pitch until next month. Still, the player admits that he has recovered, and when he plays again will be his head coach, Carlo Ancelotti’s decision.
“I’m fine, in form. Now all that’s left is for the manager to choose,” Vini shared with the Los Blancos TV. “I’m fine now and ready to play. What remains of the campaign… I ask that in the current year, we can take home many trophies.”
