Los Blancos had great first 50 minutes, but two goals in one minute made the finale more tense than expected

Real Madrid secured a hard-fought 3-2 victory over Alaves in a La Liga Round 7 clash, but it wasn’t without a tense ending. The match kicked off at an electrifying pace, with Lucas Vázquez scoring within just 54 seconds, tapping in the ball to give Real Madrid an early lead.

Kylian Mbappé, continuing his fine form in the Spanish league, doubled the score in the 39th minute. His precise finish, following a clever combination with Jude Bellingham, showcased his skill and composure, making it 2-0. This marked Mbappé’s fifth goal in La Liga.

Early in the second half, Real Madrid seemed to put the game to bed when Rodrygo added a third goal in the 48th minute.

His diagonal shot after a powerful run down the right wing made it 3-0, putting the hosts in a commanding position. Endrick, who came on as a substitute, almost made it four, but his 72nd-minute effort struck the post.

Alaves, however, fought back late in the game. Carlos Benavides pulled one back in the 85th minute with a well-placed shot, and just two minutes later, Quique García’s strike further reduced the deficit to 3-2. This sudden resurgence by Alaves put Real Madrid under immense pressure in the closing stages.

Despite the nervy finish, Carlo Ancelotti’s side held on for the win, moving them to second in the standings, just a point behind Barcelona.
