Real’s Camavinga out of Super Cup with knee problem

Real Madrid star Eduardo Camavinga will miss today’s UEFA Super Cup match vs. Atalanta and the 1^st portion of the campaign after suffering a knee problem.

The French international twisted his knee while training at the Warsaw National Stadium yesterday. Eduardo put his studs in the ground and then collided with team-mate Aurelien Tchouameni.

Scan results revealed that the 21-year-old had sprained the collateral ligament on his left knee, the Royal Club announced today.

While the Madrid giants didn’t provide a timeframe on the midfielder’s recovery, the team expect the French player to miss almost 2 months.

Camavinga appeared in 46 matches in all tournaments in the past campaign as Los Blancos triumphed with the league and the UCL.
