Arne Slot has joked that Mo Salah “knows about the 115 charges” when answering reporters’ questions about his player deal.
The Sky Blues have slipped 11 points behind the leaders of Liverpool after losing 2-0 at Anfield, and now Pep Guardiola’s side is without a victory in 7 straight matches – the worst in the Spaniard’s managerial career.
The Reds are in phenomenal form since the beginning of the campaign under the new head coach Arne Slot and everything seems positive around them at the moment except for the contracts of the stars Salah, Van Dijk and Trent which all run out at the end of the season.
Salah revealed after the Sky Blues that maybe he played his last match against them at Anfield in his career and Slot shared that about Mo’s words: “Maybe Salah knows more about the 115 charges, so he expects them to be relegated and not face them next year.”
However, Slot repeated twice that he was joking and just didn’t want to give a boring answer, as it is always the same when it comes to the deals of the footballers whose contracts are not extended at the moment.
🚨 Arne Slot on Mo Salah saying that Sunday could have been his last Anfield game vs Man City.
“Maybe Mo knows more about the 115 charges, so expects them not to be there next season… it was a joke!”.
“I repeat, a joke”.
