Tottenham put the disastrous 2-4 Brighton loss behind them and won 3-1 at home versus Bournemouth to close the gap to top 4.
In the 9th minute, Bournemouth made a blunder in ball distribution, and Rodrigo Bentancur skillfully seized possession. He then navigated past Lo Celso before reaching Pape Sarr, who had plenty of open space. Sarr capitalized on the opportunity, finishing with a long-range shot into the right corner of the net to open the scoring – 1:0 for Tottenham.
In the 72nd minute, Son received an outstanding pass from Lo Celso, exploiting a gap in the defense. The Korean forward directed a precise shot to the right post, leaving the Bournemouth goalkeeper helpless – 2:0 for Tottenham.
Just eight minutes later Richarlison received a pass from Brennan Johnson and hit the ball into the bottom right corner to wrap it up for the home side.
Bournemouth pulled one back through Alex Scott in the 85 minute, but that was all the away side could do.
