Derrick White led the charge for the Boston Celtics with a career-high 38 points as they secured a 102-88 victory over the Miami Heat on Monday night, taking a 3-1 lead in their Eastern Conference first-round series.
Jayson Tatum provided additional support with a double-double, 20 points and 10 rebounds, while Jaylen Brown added 17 points and Jrue Holiday chipped in with 11 points for the top-seeded Celtics.
Despite losing Kristaps Porzingis to a right calf injury in the first half, Boston continued its dominance over Miami, securing their sixth consecutive win at the Heat’s home court and improving to an impressive 14-3 record in their last 17 games at Miami.

Bam Adebayo led the efforts for the Heat with a strong performance, tallying 25 points, 17 rebounds, and five assists. However, Miami struggled to generate offense once again, missing key contributors Jimmy Butler (knee) and Terry Rozier (neck). Tyler Herro contributed 19 points, while Caleb Martin added 18 for the eighth-seeded Heat.

With the victory, the Celtics now have an opportunity to advance to the second round as they host Game 5 on Wednesday. The winner of the Boston-Miami series will face the victor of the Cleveland-Orlando matchup in the Eastern Conference semifinals.
